How It Works
How Our Apps Connect to Facebook
We don’t copy and paste between Facebook and our tools. Our software works with Facebook directly through Meta’s official API, using access the account owner approves once and can revoke at any time.
The Connection
Five steps, one approval
- We registered our own app with MetaWe set up our app once in Meta’s developer console. It has its own App ID and the privacy policy, terms of service and data deletion page that Meta requires.
- The account owner approves access onceIn our software, the owner clicks “Connect Facebook” and sees Facebook’s own login screen. It lists exactly what our app is asking for, such as reading their Pages and managing their ads. They click approve. We never see or store their Facebook password.
- Facebook gives our server an access keyOur server exchanges that approval for a long-lasting access key and stores it securely on our own server. The key allows only what the owner approved, and the owner can revoke it at any time in their Facebook settings.
- From then on, the software does the workWith that key, our software uses Meta’s API to read the ad account and Pages, pull ad performance numbers, build campaigns, ad sets and ads, and upload images. Nobody logs in or pastes anything, and every action goes through Meta’s official channel.
- It checks itself every dayOur server checks daily that the key still works and which permissions it holds. If the key expires or the owner removes access, the dashboard shows “Reconnect” instead of quietly failing.
Why It Matters
Compared with copying and pasting
- Accurate numbersData moves directly from Facebook to the software, so no typos and no wrong figures between screens.
- Minutes, not hoursReports, campaign builds and image uploads run in the software instead of by hand.
- No shared passwordsAccess is granted through Facebook’s own approval screen, limited to specific permissions, and can be revoked at any time.
- Visible when something breaksA daily check flags an expired or removed connection right away, so nothing stops without anyone noticing.
Managing other businesses’ accounts: to work with other companies’ ad accounts at scale, Meta also requires business verification and an app review for the permissions the app uses.
